Ren Solutions Sweet Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner Review

I wanted to take a moment out of the day to talk about a conditioner I have consistently been using. I think we all know how hard it is to find a really good detangling conditioner (as curly-haired gals) and stick with it-lest we become product whores.

The conditioner I received from a friend because she found that it weighed her hair down. She is Asian, so I though hmmm that may be perfect for me because my hair longs for moisture. So the conditioner is a Wen dupe and it’s by a brand called Ren. I actually received two but the one I want to talk about is the Sweet Pomegranate. I like that it’s a cleansing conditioner because I don’t use shampoo that often because of the stripping of moisture it does on the hair.

Ren- Sweet Pomegranate- I like the pump!

I mainly use this in between relaxers and I find it very effective. I use a good six pumps in my hair and massage my scalp while gently detangling with my fingers. I try not to do much combing to my hair when it is wet because I find that I lose so much more hair versus combing it dry. I let it set in my hair for about 10-15 minutes and you can feel the pores opening up in your scalp! Then I wash it out, however it says you can also use as a leave-in conditioner, which I have not tried yet. I usually only do this once and it is fine for me. It smells really good also.

This has been my go-to conditioner for a good four months. If I am not using this alone, it is in combination with the Nexxus conditioner, which is what I was using before I was given this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Nexxus, I ust really like that the Ren brand is a cleansing conditioner.

As far as where you can buy it, I think she said she found it at Marshalls but it is also available at Amazon right now for $17.99 (prime members, free two-day shipping).

In a nutshell

I would recommend this for people with naturally curly hair that longs for moisture. It can be used as a cleansing conditioner and as a leave-in. This will be a new staple in my hair regimen.
