Garnier Fructis Sky-Hi Volume Mousse Review

All hair is not made equal. After years of searching for the most perfect hair, the only sane conclusion is to find a way to make it work. My last batch of hair, I’m convinced was a bad batch. The hair was nice but it wasn’t what I was looking for. It was too big and halfway through the day it would become frizzy and unmanageable. So how do I deal with a case of the frizzies? Mousse!

I went to CVS because I didn’t want to spend a gang of money of mousse that wasn’t for my natural hair. I chose the Garnier Fructis Style Sky-Hi Volume Mousse in Cotton Flower. I’m not sure what cotton flower means, it doesn’t seem to have any particular smell to me. This particular mousse claims 24 Hr High Volume & Hold and is labeled extreme. The HOLD is the reason I wanted the mousse.

I had been struggling with this hair for at least two months and the thought came to me, why don’t you just put mousse. It will help with the volume issue, contrary to the label, and keep those frizzies away. I typically use mousse for hold. When I wear my natural hair in a bun, I use mousse because it keeps my edges back and everything else in place. So I thought mousse would help me with this hair and it totally did.

So as a recap of this hair, it was Virgin Peruvian Hair from Virgo Hair Company and in it’s natural state, after three and a half bundles, I looked like a lioness! Nala! After using the mousse, the hair began behaving.

Hair, pre-mousse
Hair, post mousse

Hooray for mousse!
