Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum | ReviewSaturday, August 13, 2016
I haven't had much luck with Innisfree products; none that I have used thus far have ever wowed me. I think my luck has changed, though. I received the Green Tea Seed Serum as part of a care package from my sister who lives in South Korea. My first impression of the serum was one of hesitance. It's quite fragranced and I thought it might break me out but I am happy to report that it hasn't and I actually like it a lot! It's a lightweight moisturizing serum that comes after Shark Sauce in my regimen, so currently step 4. It's lightweight, heavily fragranced, and just hydrating enough for someone with oily skin. I use three pumps of this serum twice per day and it's light enough for me to use in the morning without feeling overwhelmed by moisture.
Ingredients from innisfreeworld.com
The green Tea Extract (75.9%), Propanediol, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Ethanol, Glycerin, Betaine, The green Tea Seed Oil (208mg), Prickly Pear Extract, Orchid Extract, Tangerine Peel Extract, Camellia Leaf Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Extract, Grapefruit Extract, Orange Extract, Tangerine Extract, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Cetearyl Olivate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Sorbitan Olivate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Cocoa Extract, Dextrin, Potassium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
The point of the serum is to provide moisture. For me, this serum is just right. For someone with dry skin, you probably will want to continue with other moisturizing products as this will not be enough. I think for someone that has multiple steps in their skin care routine, this is just fine as a moisturizing serum. The scent is very perfumey and might be off-putting to some. For someone with acne-prone, oily skin, I haven't had a physical problem with it, although I don't prefer the smell. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with this serum and will continue using it up!
I found the serum available on Amazon for ~$23, with free prime shipping.
