Elie Saab

This show had the most beautiful gowns! The gowns are absolutely gorgeous and I long for the day I get to wear something like that to somewhere fancy! The makeup is classic and simple; a thick cat eye and nude lip. I noticed a strong jaw here, too, and natural, bold brows.

Guo Pei

Guo Pei. I mean... a picture is worth a thousand words... LITERALLY! Everything was pulled together so nicely. It's like being in a fantasy land, which I feel is the point of shows like this. As far as the makeup, there was lots of gold and sparkles placed everywhere (not just around the eyes or mouth but on the forehead too), but also lots of smoke. This show was the most diverse, makeup wise, as the artist didn't have everyone wearing the same thing. This show was the most visually stimulating to me.

Viktor & Rolf

It's all about the eyes here. My eyes and Cheshire Cat grin went really wide when I saw the really detailed eye look. The rest of the face is plain -- which I totally get! Have a closer look here. I thought it was a glitter liner, which is what I would use to recreate this look, but it looks like something else to me. Beautiful!

Jean Paul Gaultier

Jean Paul Gaultier makes my all time favorite perfume, Classique Eau de Parfum. The designer went with really bright colors for the Haute Couture show. Pinks and blues and oranges, oh my! Definitely a standout from all the others. And that hot organge-red lip? Yes please.

Zuhair Murad

I love a good smokey eye, but often don't have time to do it. What I love more than a smokey eye, is black eyeliner. In this show, the makeup artist used black liner to line the entire eye. It's messy and I love it because it also makes it look smokey. We see the nude lip here again, which may just be lip gloss this time. Sometimes, less is more and it was definitely more with this collection.

Ralph & Russo

I really loved the makeup and hair from this show. The cat eye is present, again, but with a kick; it's got a second glitter cat eye to accompany the thick black line. I love these kinds of cat eyes; it really draws attention to the eyes. The lip is more pink thank nude, but subtle so that it doesn't take away from the eyes, and more importantly, the dresses!

  1. I love smokey eyes as well, and do them quite often with eyeshadow pens. They are so easy and quick to blend out, you can do it in the mornings.
From the rest of the makeup I like the glitter, even though I don't wear it that often, and the hot orange lip. Perfect for summer!

    1. I recently bought the Mally Beauty Eyeshadow sticks and these things are great for on-the-go looks! Also the ones from MUFE and Sephora are budge-proof!
