Haul: The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10%, 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder, Marine Hyaluronics, and Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

Here’s my most recent haul from The Ordinary and some initial thoughts.

Mandelic Acid 10%

Hands down, my favorite of the bunch, and just may be my favorite purchase ever from The Ordinary! I am seeing such quick changes in my skin and I’ve only used about a quarter of the acid. Still testing but should have a full review with before and afters soon!

100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder

I’m not gonna lie, I’m not sure how I am going to use this; I have a few ideas, such as mixing it with the Resveratrol 3% Ferulic Acid 3%, but I need to do some more research before I get deep into using this. I tested a little bit of it with the Marine Hyaluronics, a drop of each in my hand, rubbed it on my face and washed it off, but that resulted in yellow-stained hands and I saw a few small bumps the following day. So still need some work there!

Marine Hyaluronics

The Marine Hyaluronics was surprising in texture to me; it’s got the consistency of water. An idea I had besides using it with the 100% L-Ascorbic Powder was replacing the water with the Marine Hyaluronics in my DIY Acid Toner. Still concocting ideas for this as well.

Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

This cream has the consistency of a lotion and I find takes some effort to rub all the way in. The first time I used this, I used way too much and had to wipe it off and distribute it on other parts of my body. I don’t find it particularly moisturizing, but have the idea to mix it in with the Virgin Marula Oil or perhaps finally make that neck cream I have been talking about using the Advanced Retinoid 2%, now called the Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion.

Be on the look out for full reviews!
