Korean Makeup Mini-Haul!

I didn’t plan on shopping today, but hey, when in Rome!

Actually, it was Virginia…

Does Rome have Korean makeup stores? Hmm…

Well apparently, Virginia does!

Here’s what I pulled in today!

TONYMOLY TONYNAIL Nail Polish in…

Actually I have no idea what the name is because the entire bottle is in Korean. I did see something about D12 on the label, so perhaps that’s the color code. It’s a great red and it caught my attention because I recently went through my massive nail polish collection and realized I don’t have any true red nail polish at all. At first, I couldn’t believe it, but then I remembered I went through a phase where I didn’t like red nail polish. I decided to try it on my nail and the application was very smooth. I was impressed. I put a second coat, although I don’t really think it needs one. I can’t wait to give this nail polish a proper go. And to top all that off, it was only $4.

TONYMOLY Crystal Lovely Eyes Eyeliner

Love at second sight! Yes, second sight. This eyeliner apparently has two sides to it. A split personality. The first one, I wasn’t taken aback by. It just seemed like a dark purple. Didn’t seem like something I would be OK paying $9 for. When it was brought to my attention that the end of this pencil wasn’t just for decoration, I swatched it on my skin and my eyes lit up like a child that got a puppy on Christmas. SO PRETTY! I can’t wait to try this! I have a feeling it is going to be my new favorite colored eyeliner! Right now I am into navy blue. =)

TONYMOLY Timeless Placenta Hydrogel Mask

So, I am into sheet masks. I’m not so sure if they are into me though. The last one I tried was magnificent! The one before that, not so much– I have oily skin and it made me feel like a drum of oil all day (it was the collagen mask). I am excited to try this mask because of my history with placenta. I know, that sounds… weird… but I don’t think its uncommon to have “placenta” in things. I have hair products with “placenta” in them and they are considered some of the best.  I just wish I would stay consistent with them! So, needless to say, I am quite excited to try this sheet mask. It was $11, by the way, the most I have ever paid for a sheet mask. And look at the packaging!

O HUI samples

As I was receiving these samples, I explained to the very nice sales lady that I have super oily skin and even did not immediately reach for this. But she insisted so I accepted this gift. It is a hydrating sample pack and I have a feeling it’s going to have me feeling like a grease monkey. Here is what I received

  • Cell Power No. 1 Eye Cream- I am a fan of eye creams! Hopefully I will see something that will make me want to purchase a pull size
  • Hydra Formula Forte Essence
  • Hydra Formula Vital Gel Cream
  • Hydra Formula Ultra Moist Emulsion (2)
  • Hydra Formula Vital Skin Softener

Kiss New York Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes- Green Tea Astringent

I don’t think this qualifies as Korean cosmetics but it was free. Green tea is supposed to be good for oily skin so I will try these.

So that’s the end of my mini-haul. Keep your eyes open for the reviews.

Until next time!
