Holika Holika After Night Overtime Mask Sheet | Review

I’m not gonna lie, I bought this sheet mask for the the packaging. I’m not usually much of a sucker for marketing ploys, but I often need an “after night overtime” mask lol. I wasn’t expecting much from it but I’m actually quite pleased!

After a 90’s coverband concert, champagne, and Jack Daniels, I woke up in the morning exactly how I thought I would! And of course, I fell asleep in my makeup. Grrrr. After a huge glass of water, a huge cup of coffee, and this sheet mask, I felt ready to take on the day!

So I started out removing my old makeup and washing my face with my liquid black soap. I followed with Missha First Treatment Essence Mist and then applied the mask. Upon opening it, I was splashed with serum — there’s a lot of it in the package which I rubbed all over my neck.

The sheet mask itself didn’t really fit that great. It didn’t cover the bulk of my nose or brows, but everywhere else was a perfect fit. I liked that it had slits in good places to adhere to my oval face. I would have preferred if there were eye flaps but that didn’t hinder my experience. The mask adhered to my face very well and I left it on for 30 minutes, for good measure.

Within the first five minutes of wearing the mask, I felt my pores opening up and a cooling, tingling sensation; I’m assuming this is from the peppermint (surprising, since it’s so far down on the ingredients list)! The mask was pretty dried out after 30 minutes and when I removed it I felt refreshed, my skin was brighter, tighter, and supple. I felt so fresh and youthful, I went to run errands without a trace of makeup on!

One thing to mention is that it does have a slight perfumey fragrance to it. I could really do without it, but it wasn’t overwhelming.

I totally recommend this mask. I purchased it from Beauteque for $2.50. Definitely getting more of these and others in the line.

Hey Indya, haha I get you: cute packaging gets me every time as well! I don't use sheet masks that often, but I like them for an instant hydration boost. I think 30 minutes might be a bit too long to leave a sheet mask on tho! It's probably a good idea to remove it before it dries out (and rub the rest of the essence on your body).

It sure was too long. I'll have to pause the TiVo next time and just remove it!
