Shine Bright Like a Diamond: Topshop Chameleon Highlighter in Mother of Pearl | Photos | Swatches | Review

I was able to pick up the Topshop Chameleon highlighter in Mother of Pearl while I was in NYC. I’ve tried my best to capture this highlighter but it’s pretty hard to photograph for some reason. This is ironic because it certainly does sparkle. I reckon it’s time I got my camera game up lol.

Topshop Chameleon Highlighter in Mother of Pearl (flash)

The photo with flash is more how it looks in real life. To apply, I use a tapered blush brush or a big powder brush and just sweep across the cheeks from the jawbone to the temple. I always apply blush beforehand and sweep the highlighter over it. This goes for any highlighter, unless it doubles as a blush such as ColourPop Sticky Sweet (review to come).

I am wearing a very light dusting of Nars Almeria Blush (limited edition) in the photos below. The highlighter settles on the skin a bit different from other highlighters. You can tell from the flash swatch that the particles are larger than your average highlighting powder. I’ve read some people say that it resembles glitter, but I can assure you it does not (I dislike glitter unless it’s on my nails; and even then…). However, it certainly stays on your face like glitter; that is, until you wipe it off either with your hand (it’s removed easily) or during cleansing. I applied it at 7:30 a.m. and it we still going strong well past 8:00 p.m. when I cleaned my face.
