Review: Kiko Unlimited Stylo Lipstick 04

I hadn’t bought anything from KIKO in a while and decided to stop in the store and maybe pick up a few things. KIKO is a brand that I feel is ahead of the game in terms of innovation, but I find myself being more inclined to like their lip products than anything else they offer. I picked up one of the Unlimited Stylos in 04 ($12.00) to try out.

My skin type

My lips are naturally dry. I use lip balm multiple times a day to combat dryness. It gets better in the warmer months.

What I like about it

It’s innovative. It basically performs like a liquid lipstick. It goes on completely opaque, I love the color, and it doesn’t transfer. It lasts all day on me throughout eating and drinking and I rarely have to reapply. I also really love the packaging, as usual with Kiko products. To open and close the lipstick tube, you must twist the cap a little bit until it fits in the notch. I just love all the details.

What could be better

Without lip balm, it feels like paint drying on my lips; that’s not an exaggeration. As someone that loves liquid lipstick and doesn’t mind the drying nature of them, these Stylos feel drier than a liquid lipstick to me so lip balm is a must must must. Once I wore lip balm underneath, the lipstick was exceedingly more comfortable and I forgot I was wearing lipstick for the most part.

Joy Factor

On a scale of 1-10, this lipstick is a 6.
