Review: Banobagi Vita Genic Jelly Sheet Masks

Sheet masks are just sheet masks right? They provide moisture for the most part and sometimes a bit of brightening. I find that lately, a lot of them sort of blend in after a while as far as blowing my mind, but from time to time, there are a few that make me raise my eyebrows and nod my head in extreme approval. The Banobagi Vita Genic Jelly Sheet Masks ($1.50 single; $14.00 box) are sheet masks that I really ended up liking and found myself searching for replacements. I tried the Vitamin C (tone up), B (calm & balance), and E (moisturizing) jelly masks.

My skin type

Oily, slowly fading acne scars

What it’s supposed to do

The Vitamin B Calm & Balance mask is supposed to soothe and moisturize. It has aloe in it, so it would be a great mask if you spent a lot of time in the sun. The Vitamin C Tone Up mask is supposed to moisturize and brighten, and the Vitamin E moisturizing mask is supposed to moisturize.

How long I used it

I used the Vitamin B and C mask with my Daison Silicone mask cover for 45 min. I used the Vitamin E mask on its own and it lasted 30 min.

What I like about it

There was lots of essence in these masks. You can save the packet for two days if you want. All of the masks have great ingredients including aloe, vitamin E, niacinamide (if that’s what you’re into) retinol, biotin, vitamin c. I can’t think of any other sheet masks with better ingredients. Also, the masks fit my face very well! Finally, there was no perfumey fragrance I could detect. Oh yeah, and I love the price!

What could be better

I just wish I had got more of these! The only place stateside I found them was Masksheets and overpriced at Amazon. Also available on eBay. I wish these were more available.

Joy Factor

On a scale of 1-10, these masks are a 10!
