MOTD: Low Key Casual Holiday Party Makeup Look

Makeup of the Day | bellanoirbeauty.com
We had our work holiday party a few weeks ago and I wanted to share the low maintenance makeup I did that morning. We had our party during they daytime at an adults mini-golf venue downtown (which was so much fun) and I wanted to be able to not worry about retouches or reapplying, or thinking about my makeup at all.

I used Nars Sheer Glow Foundation for my base. I use the shade Manaus. I love the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer for underneath my eyes (at this point who doesn’t?) If you’ve never tried this concealer, you are missing out! The shade Hazelnut highlights and covers imperfections. I applied the Makeup Revolution Banana Powder over it, as well as on my chin and the center of my forehead. This also toned down the shine of the foundation (reviewed here).

I’ll talk briefly about the La Mer The Glow Highlighter. I don’t want to spend a lot of time on it because it’s discontinued (it’s from 2019), but it’s gorgeous. It’s a duo with cream on one side and a powder highlighter on the other side. You can build it up to be as blingy as you like or wear it subtle, the way I like to wear it. I also used my Benefit Hoola Toasted Bronzer for a bit of color and to sort of bring everything together (reviewed here).

I picked up the Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette in Atelier Doré a couple of months ago. I just thought it was a great departure from the reds and the pinks that we usually get during the holidays. I would describe this palette as neutral glam; it’s got its browns, taupes and golds and it’s just perfect for a classy holiday or every day wear.

I skipped the eyeliner and just went with the Armani Beauty Eyes to Kill Classic Defining & Lengthening Mascara. I filled in my brows with Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift Refillable Eyebrow Pencil in Natural Black (not shown).

I finished my cheeks with the Becca Nightingale Blush. It’s very pigmented and beautiful. I’ve had it for quite a while and haven’t made a dent in it. I did consider going with a bright red lip, but opted for Pat McGrath Lip Fetish Astral Lip Balm. It’s low maintenance and beautiful! You can find my review here.

That’s my work casual holiday look. Happy Holidays!
