Lorac’s Alter Ego Lipstick ($16.00)is described as a highly-pigmented matte lipstick, so it was only natural that I picked up the color Goddess, a mauve-ish color. I also like the idea of lipstick claiming to improve the health of your lips, although there would be no real way of me knowing if it were true unless I wore it every day. That’s ok though, it’s a gorgeous color!
Instantly transform your look with LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick. These sexy and playful lipsticks coat your lips in highly-pigmented color with an opaque, matte finish. Alter Ego Lipstick contains antioxidants such as Acai Berry, Pomegranate, Grape Seed Extract, and Vitamins C and E.

The pictures don’t really do it any justice. I usually don’t go for very light pinks and purples because they have the tendency to make me look washed out, but this one is very pretty, opaque, and can be layered on for intensity. Check out my instagram for a better idea of how it looks in real time.
The lipstick applies quite smooth and lasts a very long time. I put this on in the morning around 7:30 am, had coffee, ate a tuna sandwich and cookies, and reapplied around 2:30 pm. I did experience fading towards the inside of my lips after eating but it was easy to just reapply right over it.

There are a few more colors in this collection I’d consider picking up and I really like the formula of Alter Ego. Goddess is a keeper!
