New from The Ordinary: Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%, 100% Marula Oil, Argireline Solution 10%, and Colours

When was the last time you were on The Ordinary’s website?

Well, they are expanding their range of super affordable and simple skincare products. I frequently go to their site because of their concept. But to purchase? I was on there last night and a few things captured my attention.

Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% | $6.80

I think I am most interested in this one because I have no knowledge of its benefits on the skin. From a bit of research, I found that alpha lipoic acids are

100% Marula Oil | $9.90

I’m not gonna lie; I only became interested in Marula Oil after seeing what Drunk Elephant’s was selling for. I thought, it’s just Marula Oil, right? Surely, it can’t be that expensive. I did some searching on Amazon and spontaneously saw that soon, The Ordinary would have some of their own 100% virgin marula oil. And I’m gonna buy it when it does! If you want to take part, add your name to the notification list when it is available!

Argireline Solution 10% | $7.90

This was more curious to me than it was captivating. It seems like something for mature skin and I reckon at this point, I don’t really have a need for it. BUT, prevention is key, right? The Ordinary also states

“This formulation is water-based and avoids oils, esters and silicones.”

which makes me a little bit uneasy as my daily skincare routine likely includes at least some of these. I’m thinking I would have to make some major adjustments. With this, I may just wait until I see some reviews on it. It isn’t pulling at my heart strings.

Colours | $???

I. Can’t. Wait. for this to come out. If it’s what I think it is, I’m on board for it. I imagine it to be a take on Cover FX’s Custom Cover Enhancer Drops, but in blush form! I realize that other brands have something similar to this but NOT at whatever price I’m imagining it to be. I’m willing to wait it out! Actually, they haven’t even put a price up for it yet, but I’m hoping since it’s from The Ordinary, it will be on par with the pricing of all their other products.

Wow, I learned something. Other than salycic acid I didn't know acids could be good for skin.

Oh yeah, there's a ton of info on it. You should get into Snow White and the Pear and Fan Serviced-b (you're gonna love her). They are really thorough on acids and pH and skin barriers and all that good stuff.
