Back in June, I purchased some virgin wavy Peruvian hair from Virgo Hair Company. I also purchased a closure from them and I wanted to just give you all the rundown of how this hair fared.
So I didn’t actually install the hair until August and I have been wearing the hair continuously since then. Currently, I am wearing the hair as a sew in and I have ditched the closure because it ripped my hair out. I am sure this is due to user error– I watched a YouTube video on how to sew a closure, but the result didn’t look all that great to me, it constantly itched because I sewed it too tight, and eventually I just took it out. Sadly a huge chunk of my hair came out with it.
My first impression of this hair when I saw it on the website was, oh, this is cute. I had been wanting some wavy hair. I received the wefts fairly quickly and when I got them I was pleased. They are thick and true to length. I dyed the wefts jet black and made a u-part wig.

I sewed the closure onto my hair before I installed the wig. I used about three and a half of the bundles (you get four). And as you will see, it was HUGE. Well, huge for what I was going for.

I really loved the hair straightened out but it got so frizzy! Frizzy to the point where I decided not to wear it straight again because it just became poofy and not cute!

Overall, I would give this hair three and a half out of five stars and I say that because this hair SHEDS. Every time I brush it, it sheds. When I detangle with my fingers, this hair sheds. Not feeling that. It is also somewhat unmanageable without product. This hair frizzes up about halfway through the day. I find myself wetting it during my bathroom breaks at work. eventually I got fed up with it and bought some mousse to keep it under control and that works very well. I highly suggest some sort of mousse with this hair!
Eventually I ended up doing a sew in with a bit of hair left out in the front. I feel more comfortable this way and it seems like it has decreased in volume. But that could just be because of the shedding.

I suppose all’s well that ends well but needless to say I would have to think hard before I purchased from this vendor again. they have really good reviews for this hair in particular, so I was expecting to love it. I think I am just ready for some straight hair.
