My favorite part of the holiday season are all the festive smells. There have been years where it doesn’t feel like Christmas, especially when I lived in South Florida, and it was quite hard to get in the mood for it because the four seasons down there are spring, summer, hurricane, with a splish-splash of a cold front for about 5 days which can be any random month. Now that I live further north, we get all four of the normal seasons, but that hasn’t alleviated any of my eye-rolling syndrome when the holiday season approaches. π
Which brings me to my point and the center of this post! I recently *invested* in a $40 candle (8.1 oz). And it’s a Nest candle and let me tell you, I am a convert!
I usually just stick to Voluspa candles (which I love), but I was looking for a specific scent. It just so happens, I came across this one first. I smelled all the Voluspa candles on display before I decided on the Birchwood Pine fragrance. It smells exactly like a real Christmas tree, like the holidays.
Now I feel like I have been missing out. The very definition of FOMO. I sincerely hope that this candle lasts me through the holidays. It says it has 60 hours of burn time… my Voluspa candles (the small ones) never last me through the month, so maybe I am being ambitious. Then again, I love burning candles and am very happy to add this one to my collection.
