Contestant #1: TATCHA Japanese Beauty Papers ($12.00)
Of all of the blotting papers, these are the largest. I have extremely oily skin and most of the time I need to use two blotting papers. You only need one with TATCHA. Also, the papers have little gold flecks in them. Very pretty. The packaging is also thoughtful and beautiful. These papers do what they are supposed to do, soak up oil. Comes in 30 sheets.
Pros: Large enough for one use
Cons: Pricey for only 30 papers

Contestant #2: Boscia Blotting Linens ($10.00)
I purchased these in Green Tea and in Bamboo and Willow Bark Extract. Before I purchased these, I had been using the Clean & Clear brand. These are around the same size, and smaller than the TATCHA ones. I can get away with using one of these, but on days where I don’t use primer, I need two. Out of the two of these, I prefer the Bamboo and Willow Bark because the Green Tea linens have a strong scent that is kind of overwhelming for me. I also like these because they are the perfect size to carry around with you. Comes in 100 sheets.
Pros: Basic blotting papers, 100 sheets, different “flavors”, convenient packaging
Cons: Still need two papers to soak up all oil, some “flavors” have strong scents

Contestant #3: Palladio Rice Paper (Translucent) ($3.99)
I actually received these as a gift and I was extremely surprised at how well they performed. They are described as oil-absorbing blotting tissues with rice powder. One side has the translucent powder and the other side is just paper. It is about the size as the Boscia linens and I only need one tissue. The rice powder really seems to help with absorbing the oil. These also come in convenient packaging and you get 40 sheets.
Pros: absorbs all oil with one sheet, convenient packaging, very inexpensive
Cons: None

Contestant #4: Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets ($5.79)
These were the first experience I had with blotting papers. They soak up oil but I literally have to use 3 sheets. And they are made with some vinyl type material. These did not work as well as the others, but are more convenient to find as I found them in my local drugstore. I do like the sticky film patch on the inside of the packaging that takes hold of the sheet to remove it from the slot. There are 50 sheets.
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: Not very effective at absorbing oil
