ColourPop Cami ($5.00) is part of the lippie stix Matte X formula. I purchased it a while back as a filler for free shipping and with time I ended up liking it more than I did when I first got it. The Matte X formula is super pigmented but still Matte; it’s quite unique in formula.
The key to this formula is blotting. The color is cooler than I thought and if I don’t blot it looks like I’ve applied too much. The result is a lovely shade of pink in which ColourPop describes as a neutral mauve pink. It’s definitely really bright on me before blotting but afterwards looks more like the mauve pink they say it is. For a super matte lipstick, I didn’t find it drying, but not moisturizing either. My advice: use lip balm beforehand if you have naturally dry lips like mine. Reapplication was easily done right over the old, although this lasted on me until having food (around 6 hours). And it looks great on dark skin!
With ColourPop coming out with so many products, don’t forget about the lippie stix! I would try more from the Matte X range.
