I am a fan of multitasking. Two birds, one stone. That’s all me. I recently started using a light moisturizer, Valentia Pure Glow Brightening Moisturizer ($25.00). When I received* the moisturizer I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the bottle; you get 4 oz of product for only $25. It’s well-priced, and has a lot of ingredients I venture to, to deal with my skin issues.
Deionized Aqua (Water), Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), Isopropyl Palmitate (Palm Oil), Globularia Cordifolia Callus Culture Extract (plant stem cells), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Algae Extract, Camellia Oleifera (Japanese Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Undaria Pinnatifida Cell Culture Extract (wakame bioferment), Organic Rosa Canina (Rosehip Seed Oil), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide (botanical hyaluronic acid), Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Organic Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower Oil), Wildcrafted Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea), d-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry Seed Oil), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry), Organic Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry Extract), Rubus Ideaus (Raspberry Seed Oil), Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose Oil), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, (2s)-2-Amino-5-guanidinopentanoic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Wildcrafted Ganoderma Lucidum (Kojic Acid), Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot Essential Oil), Melissa Officinalis (Melissa Essential Oil), Wildcrafted Salix Lucida (Willow Bark/Salicylic Acid), Organic Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice), Wildcrafted Melissa Officinalis (Lemon Balm), Wildcrafted Panax Quinquefolius (Ginseng), Organic Pimpinella Anisum (Anise), Organic Armoracia Rusticana (Horseradish), Organic Schisandra Chinensis (Schisandra), Organic Joeniculum Vulgare (Fennel), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Wildcrafted Ginkgo Biloba, Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed Oil), Wildcrafted Silybum Marianum (Milk Thistle), Organic Salvia Officinalis (Sage Extract), Organic Schisandra Chinensis (Schisandra), Organic Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme Extract), Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Organic Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola), Wildcrafted Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail), Wildcrafted Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion), and Wildcrafted Geranium Maculatum (Wild Geranium), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid
As you can see, that’s a pretty long ingredients list. A lot of these ingredients I have seen in the Korean skincare market (I bolded some of them), which really made me like this moisturizer more. I was most attracted to the Kojic acid because the best facial I have ever gotten had Kojic acid as the main ingredient. My face looked a mess right after because of extractions, but after a few days, my. skin. looked. ahhmazing!
The moisturizer is supposed to brighten, lighten hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production and encouraging collagen production. So it moisturizes, lightens, and brightens!
The Pure Glow Moisturizer complements my skincare routine so nicely. I have oily, acne-prone skin with large pores, and too many acne scars for my liking. I am currently and have been for some time, using products that target the hyperpigmentation. Overall, the products I have been using have generally improved the texture of my skin and I notice my skin tone more evenly distributed, minus the acne scarring. Adding a product in my routine that enhances that is a plus for me! I have been using this moisturizer for a little over a month, and it’s one of the first moisturizers I use in my regimen. It’s light, odorless, and efficient at moisturizing my oily skin without making it feel weighed down. I am able to use this in the morning and at night with no issues. While it’s probably too early to determine if it has a major impact on my skin, I am totally inclined to keep using it and would rebuy it; it’s such a great deal, and I totally believe in the ingredients. Also happy to report that I haven’t had any unusual breakouts either.
For all of those reasons, I am very comfortable recommending this product.
