Hask Superfruit Collection

I really love when brands listen to consumers. Hask has consistently released effective, sulfate-free shampoos, which I really love because my hair is naturally very dry; I know ladies with my hair type would be glad for this brand! For the past several years, and before I became acquainted with Hask’s cleansing products (I have previously used their hair placenta and mayonnaise for deep conditioning), I had been using cleansing conditioners, or just co-washing my hair — no shampoos allowed. The Superfruit collection is the latest edition I had the pleasure of trying from the brand. It includes the Healthy Hair Shampoo ($5.99), Conditioner ($5.99), and Deep Conditioner ($2.99).

The thing that stood out the most for me that set this apart from the previous two collections I have tried was the scent. If you are not a fan of strongly scented hair products, you will love this. I have consistently loved the smell of Hask’s cleansing products because of how exotic and unique they were, but this one floats along the lines of a more traditional shampoo and conditioner. It smells a lot more clean and fresh and reminds me of berries; no surprise since there are many different kinds of fruit oils in the ingredients.

I wash my hair twice with the shampoo, condition once, and leave in the deep conditioner for about 20 minutes. The result is squeaky clean, delightful smelling hair. I don’t try to brush or comb my hair when it’s wet because I get a lot of fall out but once it’s dry, I part it in four sections and start to detangle. Which brings me to the brush! I would be remiss if I did not mention how much I love this brush (the brush I received is actually pink, but I have this purple one too which is made just like it)! It’s got boar-like bristles and the plastic bristles you find on a paddle brush that makes brush naturally curly hair a dream! I remember a few years back when people were going nuts over the Denman brush, but this one is so much better to me! Unfortunately, it must have just been part of the press sample because I can’t find it available for sale anywhere. If you see a brush like this, buy it!

While I prefer the more luxurious smelling collections from Hask, everything ain’t for everybody! The Superfruit collection would be perfect for someone that prefers cleaner, simpler, fresher scents.
