It’s been a while since I participated in a full-on beauty haul, which is why I picked up almost everything I wanted. Sephora recently had its spring sale for its members, and Nordstrom smartly matched 15% on most beauty items. Naturally, I double-dipped. I’m breaking this post up into two parts, because it gets long!
Fenty Pro Filt’r Matte and Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation
I have loved the Fenty Pro Filt’r Matte Foundation since it was first released. It’s been at least a year since I’ve re-upped on it, due to trying and loving other foundations, including Bobbi Brown Skin Long Wear. I keep coming back to the Fenty foundation because whenever I wear it, I get endless compliments on how great my skin looks. My shade is 440 and I set it with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder less than half the time. It’s gorgeous on its own.
I’ve only ever tried one foundation from Armani Beauty and I really loved it but I could only wear it in the winter because that’s initially when I bought it and the shade was lighter. I picked up the 1 oz size of the Luminous Silk Foundation and have tried it once, applying with my fingers. It absolutely needs a brush application (it gets streaky with fingers) and I think the shade (13) will be too light for me once again in the summer. I’m still working with this one. It’s a true medium coverage foundation and really can’t be built up to full. Here’s a photo of me wearing the foundation below.
Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Cream Bronzer
The Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Cream Bronzer is the belle of the ball! Everything about this beauty gives me great joy from the packaging, to the perfectness of the shade, to the texture of the cream, to the finish of the product. The shade is Warm Deep Bronze and if you are on the fence about this, just get it!
Wearing Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer, Glossier Boy Brow (over ABH Dip Brow), Dior Lip Glow Cherry, Haus Labs Blush Watermelon Bliss, Fenty Beauty Foundation, Benefit Flora Tint
Dior Lip Glow Cherry
The Dior Lip Glow in Cherry is the first thing I put in my cart. I’ve been a huge fan of the Dior lipsticks, and while I like the shade and the natural look of it, I noticed the texture feels more waxy. Nevertheless, it’s a great lip tint and I’ve even worn this without any other makeup, just to give myself a touch of color.
Haus Labs Color Fuse Blush
The Haus Labs Color Fuse Blush in Watermelon Bliss is another item that has a high joy factor. I have loads of blush, and I certainly did not need this, but this can easily replace the ones I have grown bored with. I had a hard time choosing from the shades and I could see owning all the vibrant colors. A note: use a very light hand! It’s incredibly pigmented, but smooth and sophisticated in texture.
Haus Labs Le Monster Lip Crayon
I initially only picked up one shade of the Haus Labs Le Monster Lip Crayon, and loved it so much I went back and picked up two more. I ended up with shades Berry Matte, Scarlet Matte, and Cerise Matte. For a lip crayon, they have incredibly long lasting power. They feel comfortable on my lips and like the blush, are very pigmented.
Glossier Boy Brow
I can’t believe I haven’t explored Glossier Boy Brow before. I figured since my brows are so very sparse, a product like this would not make any difference. I am wearing it in the shade Black in all the images in this post. The only thing about this product, is that I see running out of it very quickly.
That concludes part one of my haul. I’ll cover more skin-related items in the next post.
