Foundation Free Friday

Excuse the unruly brows…

My skin has improved. The number one thing that has made this happen is lack of acne (my number one problem I had with my skin was/is acne scars). As a teenager, I had terrible, terrible acne. I still suffer from little outbreaks from time to time, but not nearly as much as when I was a kid. A lot of it probably has to do with age, as well… As a product junkie, it is quite hard for me to stick to a skin care regimen per se, but I have a good idea of what my skin likes and dislikes. My skin is in love with Dr. Woods Liquid Black soap. I use it nearly every morning in the shower. Makes my face feel squeaky clean, and appears to clear up acne marks. I also use Alpha Hydrox AHA Souffle twice daily.

I have always felt insecure about leaving the house without foundation, but I want to see myself without it more so I won’t be so shocking to myself when I don’t wear it. Sometimes, you just get used to seeing yourself with a face full of makeup and think that this your your normal appearance. I am weaning myself off wearing so much makeup during the day. If my eyelashes would grow (or I drop $250 on a set |side eye|) I could probably not wear eyeliner.

Either way, I felt beautiful today without foundation. It is possible!

What else am I wearing?

Topshop Highlighter in Horizon

Topshop Lips in Mink

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Liner in Mat Black

MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes in Matte Black

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black

Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Black Brown

I’m thinking I’ll make this a tradition. I think the highlighter really made it possible.

Your skin looks beautiful. ::jealous:: My goal is to get rid of old acne marks, too, but it doesn't help that new ones have been popping up.
