Sephora Spring Sale Beauty Picks

It’s time to load up those carts for the Sephora Spring Sale! The sale starts on 4/14 for Rouge level members and 4/18 for VIB and Insider level members. I’ve already got my basket ready. Here are my picks, ranging from new stuff I’ve been wanting to try and a rebuy.

Haus Labs by Lady Gaga Color Fuse Talc-Free Powder Blush

I’ve had my eye on the Color Fuse Blushes since they were released. I could see myself grabbing all of the shades but Watermelon Bliss and Açai Sky really catches my eye (that rhymes) as well as Dragon Fruit Daze. Do you know I’ve never had dragon fruit? It sounds so exotic.

These blushes are right up my alley because of how pigmented they appear and the range of colors. I can’t remember the last time I have ever run out of a blush, and I doubt these will be an exception. My only problem is which one I’ll pick first. These are like Pokémon – gotta catch them all.

Haus Labs by Lady Gaga Le Monster Lip Crayon Lipstick

Another product I’ve been wanting from the brand is the Le Monster Lip Crayon Lipstick. These are all matte lip crayons that are very spring ready. I love a lip crayon because you can apply and reapply them without a mirror. I’m loving the shades Mocha, Berry, and Garnet. They saturate your lips in color and make lips look so cushiony. I do think I’d run out of these and I love that they’re twist ups.

Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit

Holy sunscreen, batman! The Sephora Favorites Sun Safety Kit is on my list, and it should be on yours too. I am an incessant face-picker and the number one thing to combat the dark spots left behind is sunscreen. Acne patches help too, but that’s another story. I’ve seen people hemming and hawing in the review section of this kit that there aren’t enough SPF 50 choices in the kit. I rolled my eyes at that. Thirty is better than nothing at all. I understand personal preference but I am not going to knock the kit because it doesn’t have my personal choices in it. I’ve only tried one sunscreen in the kit, the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen, which I am happy to re-up on.

The Kit includes travel sizes (some larger than others) of:

  • Biossance Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 PA +++
  • CAY SKIN Isle Glow Face Lotion SPF 45
  • Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare All-Physical Lightweight Wrinkle Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30
  • Dr.Jart+ Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30
  • First Aid Beauty Mineral Sunscreen Zinc Oxide Broad Spectrum SPF 30
  • Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Sunscreen™ SPF 50
  • – HUM Nutrition Here Comes The Sun
  • Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 36
  • Josie Maran Mini Get Even Sun Milk SPF 33
  • Kiehl’s Since 1851 Ultra Facial Cream SPF 30
  • Murad Essential-C™ Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++
  • PETER THOMAS ROTH Water Drench® Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Hyaluronic Cloud Moisturizer
  • Saint Jane Beauty Luxury Sun Ritual Pore Smoothing SPF 30
  • Summer Fridays ShadeDrops Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Mineral Milk Sunscreen
  • Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40

Glossier Boy Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Pomade

The Glossier Boy Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Pomade isn’t by any means new, but it would be new to me. I love an eyebrow pomade, but those wand applicators can be tricky for sparse brows. I really liked the Milk Makeup Kush Brow Gel and that’s sort of what the Boy Brow reminds me of. I obviously won’t be using it to fluff anything, but I’m curious!

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream with Squalane

I was first exposed to the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream with Squalane as a sample – I took it with me to Costa Rica last year. I was really impressed with how lightweight, but really moisturizing it was. It felt really great on my face, had no smell at all, and had me thinking about buying the full-size once I ran out of moisturizer. I was surprised to find that it’s only $38, much less than what I usually spend on a moisturizer. I love a great deal, and with the Sephora discount, that’s exactly what this is. It turns out, this is Kiehls’ number one face cream, and I’m not one bit surprised by that.

Fresh Radiant Skincare Day & Night Gift Set

I’m also eyeing the Fresh Radiant Skincare Day & Night Gift Set. The set includes the Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer and the Youth Preserve Super Lotus Night Recovery Cream. I also received a sample of the Night Cream the same time as the Kiehl’s one mention above and was really impressed by it. The Night Recovery Cream by itself is $56, so for $6 more, you’re getting the Youth Preserve Moisturizer as well – pretty good deal.

Dior Addict Lip Glow – Cherry

I have used and loved several iterations of the Dior Addict Lip Glow but have been wanting the cherry shade for some time. You can read more about the lipsticks here. They are natural and beautiful, and slightly moisturizing. This was the first thing that went in my cart.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation

When the Fenty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation came out, I could not stop getting compliments on how good my skin looked. I continue to buy this foundation because it really is beautiful, long-lasting, and basically an OG. You can read my review here. It’s foundation and I have many, but this is the third will be my third bottle of this foundation.

Honorable Mention: Shani Darden It All Starts with Retinol Set

I recently came across the Shani Darden It All Starts with Retinol Set by pure accident. I have wanted to dabble in retinol for a while, but haven’t seemed to find the “right” product. This set – and I love a good set – contains three travel sized products:

  • 0.3 oz/ 10 mL Retinol Reform® Treatment Serum
  • 0.3 oz/ 10 mL Lactic Acid AHA Exfoliating Serum
  • 1 oz/ 30 mL Cleansing Serum

I put it here as an honorable mention because while it isn’t something I will be buying with this sale (the other things I mentioned here have priority), it seems like a really good starter set for retinol. I also really like ingredients with lactic acid, too. I have written about that previously. The brand seems to have a good reputation, though I am unfamiliar with it. Mixed reviews so far, but I look forward to exploring!
