Kakaooooo Talk – Yes I have the app and Obama screams that at me whenever I get a message. These masks came from the same place as the app — Angela from Beautyandthecat! Oh, she spoils me 🙂
The three masks I received were Apeach (hydrating), Frodo (moisturizing), and Neo (resilience). Overall, the masks are pretty good; better than I thought, and they were all a bit ill-fitting. I used my Daiso Silicone Mask with all three, which allowed me to keep the masks on for upwards of 40 minutes. I will start with Apeach!
Apeach, for some reason, is either crying or extremely happy. I’m going to go with extremely happy. After using this mask, my face was left hydrated and soft, and was still soft in the morning when I woke up. Of all three, Apeach was the most underwhelming, but only because the other two were better.
All three masks had weird hole-covers on them which I tore out. I tried just lifting the flaps but it didn’t work out for the mouth area so I ended up just tearing it out. Look how cute the mask is!
As you can see, the mask didn’t cover my entire face.
Frodo was actually the favorite of the bunch, which is strange because my favorite character is Neo. I don’t get Frodo. He’s a “city dog” and his name is Frodo… I think he belongs in a village somewhere in New Zealand. But besides that, Frodo was my favorite mask of the three because it left my skin soft and visibly brightened; and not the fake brightening from the band-aid effect. When I woke up in the morning, my skin was still brightened and soft. The only thing I didn’t like about this mask was when I took it off, it left an oily film layer. This was a non-issue because I rubbed it all in with my Shark Sauce afterward.
Hey boo! Neo is such a diva. Just look at her! Her sheet mask is marketed as resilience. The mask was very perfumey, which I didn’t care for, and fit just as bad as Frodo and Apeach. My face was left super moisturized and smooth, but slightly sticky.
Overall, these were pretty damn good masks. The best part about them is that none of them broke me out! I would (re)purchase these, especially Frodo. After a quick search, I found these available on Amazon for $20.
