It’s definitely summer!
I’ve got a long-overdue sunscreen review today. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have talked a little bit about this during Sunscreen Week. Speaking of sunscreen week, every week should be sunscreen week. It’s so easy to forget to put it on and the consequences are just not worth it! Prevention is key!
My skin type
Oil, oil, and more oil
What it’s supposed to do
Protect you from the sun’s rays plus control oil
Ingredients
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Zinc Oxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Homosalate, Glycerin, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Dipropylene Glycol, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Magnesium Sulfate, Mica, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Fragrance, Methicone, Propanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Octyldodecanol, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Echium Plantagineum Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Iron Oxides(CI 77492), Butylene Glycol, Chromium Oxide Greens. Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil Unsaponifiables, Cardiospermum Halicacabum Flower/Leaf/Vine Extract, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Orchid Extract, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate
How I use it
Last step before makeup; lately, I have been really good about measuring the right amount!
Side note: have you voted for Angela’s balls yet? They will solve the problem of measuring, plus provide sun protection, plus some moisture!
What I like about it
It’s simple and in a bright enough bottle that it catches your eye. I also like that it’s a cream that doesn’t leave much of white cast.
What could be better
It doesn’t keep me from getting oily, but does provide a bit of moisture; enough so that I only really need a lightweight moisturizer, such as this one. While the white cast isn’t nearly as bad as the white cast on a lot of sunscreens, it does leave a very slight white cast on my dark skin. If you are lighter, you probably won’t see it.
Joy Factor
On a scale of 1-10, this sunscreen is a 6.
