Nature Republic Dot Lip Tint – Lovely Pink (02)

Lip tints are something you have to be in to, to enjoy them. For me, it’s all about that natural look. It’s a great compromise to a full, bold lip; it makes me feel younger and more fresh for some reason, and I really like the idea of not worrying about reapplying because they last all day long. The only thing I use with lip tints are lip balm, which I use anyway, especially if I am not using lipstick.

The one I am reviewing today is from Nature Republic and it’s the Dot Lip Tint in Lovely Pink (02). I purchased this at the Nature Republic in New York’s Union Square and it was the only color available in this particular tint. Interesting that it’s called Lovely Pink because it’s actually red. Like really red. Popsicle red, in fact. I didn’t fret about this because I purchased two other lip tints from the brand, but a different line.

So as you can see, the lip tint has a rounded tip, which is interesting because when I first applied this I just dotted it on my lips and it looked crazy – like red polka dots all over my lips. And they dry that way. So the circular or dot tip isn’t really practical, unless you actually want polka dot lips. So I just swipe this across my lips.

I really like the lip tint. It’s long-lasting, super easy as in you apply it once in the morning and go about your business, and it’s one of the more pigmented than most I have tried. I’m actually curious about how these would work as a cheek stain n my oily skin. The lip tint was 50% off in-store (around $7) so quite affordable. I have found it available at Roseroseshop, Jolse, and Nature Republic Canada.
