At the end of April, Sephora will be having a beauty insiders sale starting April 26th-May 6th for Rouge, May 2nd-6th for VIB and Beauty Insiders. The sale is 20% off for Rouge, 15% off for VIB, and 10% off for Beauty Insiders. I have majorly cut back on makeup and skincare purchases in the last 12 months and did not make Rouge, which was a reached goal of mine! As a result of cutbacks, makeup fever has caught me! Here’s what’s in my massive cart, which needs serious dwindling down as I’m checking for dupes or some alternatives.
Bite Beauty Kiss ‘N Fly Lip Care & Lipstick Set $35
I love Bite Beauty as a brand. They have some of the best lipsticks in the entire industry. I’ve had better luck with their minis lately, so I would really like to give this set a try. The set includes three mini Amuse Bouche lipsticks (Chai, Verbena, Sour Cherry), a full-size Agave Lip Balm, and a mini Agave Lip Mask. I’m marking this one as a yes.
Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil $40 (0.5 oz.)
I want to try this vitamin C/turmeric serum from Sunday Riley because it seems pretty unique. Turmeric in skincare is age old, but i have never tried it although it’s supposed to be great for the skin. I am feeling kind of meh about the THD Ascorbate as the vitamin C used in the serum; would have been more intrigued if it were l-ascorbic acid. This is a maybe but I may pass on it. Perhaps I’ll get a sample of it first.
Sephora Collection Glow Peel Pads $7 (20 pads)
I’ve used a few different peel pads and none of them really stuck, tbh. These glycolic acid peel pads don’t appear to actually make your skin peel, but do provide some gentle exfoliation. I’d be willing to try these out, even more so because the price is right. The best ones I’ve tried are the Dr. Dennis Gross peel pads. These will definitely not be dupes but worth a try! I’m marking this as a maybe just because of how historically inconsistent I am with peel pads.
Sephora Collection The Essentials Kit $20
Sephora has redone their skincare line an released a bunch of different products recently. The Essentials Kit allows me to sample three of those newly-released products: Clean Skin Gel (cleanser), All Day Hydrator (moisturizer), and Purifying Mud Mask. The kit is so affordable, and even though I’m over mud masks, the zinc in this one is intriguing. I am on the fence about this one, mainly because I’m wondering how much joy I’ll get out of using it.
Sephora Collection Color Enhancing Lip Oil $10
It turns out, I’m really into lip tint! I’ve always said Sephora Collection is underrated, so trying this lip oil seems like a no brainer to me. Moisturizer and color! I don’t think I own any lip oils at all so this will be a first timer for me.
Fenty Beauty Cheek Hugging Bronzer Brush 190 $36
I have heard great things about Fenty Brushes. When their highlighter brush came out, I passed on it. Now that brands are paying more attention to POC, I think I might pick this bronzer brush up. I love the way it’s shaped!
Stila Stay All Day® Waterproof Liquid Liner & Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Mini Eye-Conic Kit $19
I have been wanting to try the Stila shimmer and glow liquid shadows for some time. I’m already familiar with the Stay All Day Liquid Liner so this is the perfect kit to re-up on one thing and try an all new thing!
Sephora Collection Vivid Earth Eye Palette $16
The earth tones in this palette are very appealing to me. I can’t say the quality of SC eyeshadows are my favorite, but I am willing to take a chance on this one. Actually, this is the one thing in my cart I am most excited about. It reminds me a little bit of the Urban Decay Naked palette.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Coconut Fix $25
I remember when the coconut line came out; I wanted to try it then but then forgot all about it. This set includes a travel sized primer and the setting powder. I did read the primer is good for dry skin and my skin is oily, so that makes me think a bit harder about this kit. This one is a maybe but might find its way to my loves list for later purchase.
Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer $30
Ever since trying the new Benefit Hoola Toasted Bronzer, I have been wondering what other bronzers were out there for POC. There are some but they aren’t readily available. As soon as I had that thought, Fenty came out with some new ones! I’m keen to see which shade would work for me, so this is a yes ma’am!
Sephora #LIPSTORIES Destinations $8
I have a few shades of the Sephora Lipstories lipsticks and the new destinations lipsticks caught my eye. There are three satins, four mattes and one metallic. I’m more fond of the satin formula but some of the matte shades catch my eye more. Perhaps I will pick up a couple of these. Preeetttyy sure I have dupes of Canada and SF, but I’m buying these more for the marketing ploy lol, just being real!
Pat McGrath Eye Ecstasy Eyeshadow & Mascara Kit $48
The only reason I haven’t already bought this set is because I am waiting on the sale. I have a Pat McGrath palette so I already know this set will be good as far as quality. The set also comes with a loose pigment and her new mascara, which I am also dying to try.
Sephora Collection Melting Shower Jelly $10, Fizzing Bath Star Mini $8, and Moisturizing Body Milk $12
The Sephora Collection body products caught my eye. I’m pretty wary of new body products, especially in shower ones but I’d like to try these out. Mostly the moisturizing body milk since my day 1 lotion’s formula keeps changing.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder $32
I was able to get a sample of Fenty’s setting powder a while back and have since used it up. It’s the best setting powder I have ever used. Definite purchase and a HG!
Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Eyeliner $21
I am most attracted to this eyeliner because of the brush applicator. My HG eyeliner (Clinque Pretty Easy eyeliner) has a brush tip applicator so I really want to try this Too Faced version out. I am guessing it will probably be a dupe.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat High Cover Radiant Concealer $35
YSL’s Touche Eclat concealer is the first concealer I have ever used! Intriguing to hear of the full cover Touche Eclat! I am almost out of my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, so it’s the perfect time to try it (although I will also repurchase the Nars concealer).
Nars Voyageur Eyeshadow Palette Mini $32
I really love the tones in this palette! It does remind me of some the shades in the Nars Loaded palette, but I can see using this a lot this summer. It also looks like an everyday palette or something good for travel (this shade is Copper).
Sephora Collection Matte Perfection Blush Duos $16
I saw these duos a while back and two of the shades looked like they would be good for my skin tone: tiger liy and poppy. I have had success with Sephora blushes and these look delightful.
