Now that the calm has settled and people are past the hoopla, I’ve decided to share my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks – what I’ve had my eye on and what I think is worth it! Not gonna lie, I am one of those people that legit will not do something because everyone else is doing it; for some reason things like that cause me weird anxiety. And because I knew the Anniversary sale lasted a while (it ends after August 5th), I knew I could take my time and make my mind up, or simply miss out on things I claim I wanted, like the highly coveted Diptyque Candle Set 🤷
Without further ado, here are my picks, in no particular order:
I’m going to start off with the Donna Karan Cashmere Mist sets because I am a recent convert of this deodorant! I used to buy deodorant I’d say once every other month because that’s how long they last. The Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant has changed my armpit’s life and this is definitely up there in value, usefulness, and joy! I have been using the same mini tube that came in the set since the holidays and it still looks full!! Recall, I said I didn’t prefer the Cashmere mist fragrance, but its concealed with my body lotion and whatever fragrance I am wearing that day. Annnnnnnd it keeps me drier than any other deodorant ever and I. SWEAT. A LOT. There’s a deodorant trio and there’s a set like the one I previously purchased and reviewed.
Now while I’m bummed this set doesn’t have the option for the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder in Medium-Deep, I can say that I love the powder and here you get it in the original, which has superb reviews. You also get the Foundation Primer in Radiance, Mineral Illuminating Powder in Candlelight, and a Mini Velour Puff.
If you missed out on the Diptyque set, go for the Voluspa Mini Tin Candle Trio. I have numerous Voluspa candles and they are some of the best value for what you get. I find the fragrances in the candles luxurious and long-lasting compared to other candles in the brand’s price point. There are my default candles and I always try to grab some when they are on sale.
I have been a huge fan of Maison Margiela. I fell in love with the brand just by choosing their samples whenever I checked out from a place that offered them. I picked up the masculine discovery set over the holidays and for the Anniversary sale, Nordstrom is offering two fragrances I have tried and adored, Beach Walk and Lazy Sunday Morning. I am about halfway out of Jazz Club, which is my favorite and which I have been using more consistently than anything else, so these travel sprays do last a relatively long time.
Nars is a brand I pretty much trust, especially with cheek products. The Sunseeker Lip & Light Duo looks great for glow and I love a red lip! You get a Mini Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dolce Vita and Mini Highlighting Powder in Fort de France.
I have been wanting the Too Cool for School Egg Mellow Cream forever! I received a sample of it in some kit a while back and promised myself I would pick it up the next time I needed moisturizer! Annnnd then I forgot! This mini set is perfect to recharge my memory! Plus you get the Egg-zyme Whipped Foam, Egg Cream Mask Hydration, and the Egg Mellow Body Butter!
People love the Armani Liquid Lip Magnets; its one of the most popular makeup posts on this blog. Well, in this set, you get a full-sized one of those in 508 – Androgini (nude blush), a shade I can definitely see myself in! You also get a full-sized Ecstasy Shine Lipstick in #101 Nuda, Eye Makeup Remover, and a full-sized Eyes to Kill Classic Mascara in #1 Black. I am here for this set!
I have been using this cleanser forever and have no idea why I’ve never reviewed it. I have mentioned it quite a bit on this blog as a staple in my skincare regimen, and now you can get two bottles for $24! I like to use this in concert with my spin brush, for some (light) chemical and physical exfoliation.
I will never not recommend these eyeliners. The value on them is INKcredible! Get it? Keke
I bought these during last year’s Anniversary Sale and they are back!
Another fragrance brand I have grown fond of is Atelier. This four piece set includes Vanille Insensée Cologne Absolue, Orange Sanguine Cologne Absolue (I love this one), Sud Magnolia Cologne Absolue, and Cédre Atlas Cologne Absolue.
I got a huge sample of this a while back and loved it! It’s comparable to my Alpha H Liquid Rose Gold Toner and my skin loved it! Definitely picking this up!
Umm, I am including this because on my screen 4/5 of the shades in this set look like they would look great on my skin tone! Now, in person, that’s another story! Can you believe I have never tried a Lancome lipstick? Seems like the perfect opportunity!
So I have been curious about this brand since they hit Nordstrom. I had not heard of them prior to that, but Skin Elixir is something that is obviously going to speak my language. This set provides just that opportunity without having to drop the $58.00 for the full-sized one. Plus, you get the Meltaway Cleansing Balm and the Rejuvenating Serum, which I don’t see sold separately on Nordstrom’s website.
Now listen, speaking of dropping dollars, Omorovicza is expensive! But here, Nordstrom is offering an introductory set for those people, like myself, that have been curious about the brand, but are hesitant to spend three figures on a cream, for just under $100. In this set, you get everything you’ve been curious about (well almost everything): Thermal Cleansing Balm, Queen of Hungary Mist, Illuminating Moisturizer, Cleansing Foam, and the Rejuvenating Night Cream.
I have only ever heard good things about the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick so I am happy to see that there is a mini one on offer for the sale. And it comes with a brush! You get a Mini Shimmer Brick in Rose and the Mini Face Blender Brush.
Everybody and their moms rave over Charlotte’s Magic Cream. I have yet to try it on my face but I have swatched it in store and it feels nice. I can’t say that I would splurge on the full-size, but this set includes a mini Magic Cream Treat & Transform Moisturizer, a mini Magic Night Cream Instant Beauty Sleep in a Cream Elixir (whew, these long names!), and a full-sized Wonderglow Instant Soft Focus Beauty Flash.
